On Tim Kern, co-owner of  Tribulation Tattoo:

Tim Kern is a rotten carny bastard. A seventh-generation twin, he was born in a state of Misery, half-cooked and with a lazy eye. Over the years he has developed a passion for human oddities, prestidigitation, and serial killers. Tim has been a tattoo artist for 13 years, and works at Tribulation Tattoo in NYC. If seen, do not approach, and shoot on sight.

No quote can completely sum up Tim Kern’s morbidly beautiful tattoo artistry. His inventive tattoo stylings are intense, graphic and simulating while remaining void of cartoon-like etchings. He does this by adding such detail and shadow, allowing his distinct masterpieces to come to life.

Zodiac Killer tat is pretty interesting with the coded background, and all.

This sketch-like tattoo is delicate and visually non-intrusive. Very interesting style, like the back pages of an old romance novel.
